This publication was developed in 2001 by IPAT in response to statewide consumer demand for accurate funding information specific to assistive technology. Information contained in this document covers the primary AT payers, including: Vocational Rehabilitation, public education - school-aged children, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security Administration, Veteran's Administration, and a sampling of alternative funding sources.
Policies and regulations are often changing; therefore, information in this document may have been altered since publication and some information may not be included. However, this guide still remains a good starting point for accurate AT funding information and IPAT can be accessed to address specific questions.
