IPAT staff is available to answer assistive technology (AT) questions for persons with disabilities, their family members, and the professionals that support them. IPAT provides this service at no cost to the requestor through the use of a toll-free number, e-mail, mail, videoconference, or person-to-person meetings. Typical questions involve identifying AT device options, providing strategies for working with agencies, discussing funding avenues, or troubleshooting specific AT equipment. IPAT responds to individual AT requests through research, using existing IPAT products, devices or services, and by linking the individual to outside resources.
